Adopt an animal - your new friend is waiting for you!
We are happy about every animal that finds a new permanent home
ChatGPT:
Before you decide to adopt one of our animals, we kindly ask you to take a moment to familiarize yourself with our adoption process. Most of our dogs and cats currently live in the animal shelter in the northeast of Sri Lanka.
If you are interested in one of our animals, please first fill out the [adoption form]. There you can enter the animal’s name and provide all relevant information. Afterwards, we will schedule an online call with you to answer any questions and to make sure the animal is a good match for you and your living environment.
Before departure, all animals are veterinary-checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. If the animal is still in Sri Lanka, we will arrange for a flight escort to bring it safely to Germany.
Dogs & Cats looking for a loving home
We have some lovely news to share: there is now a dedicated adoption page where you can meet our wonderful dogs and cats, each with their own story and personality.
The adoption page is currently available in German only, but you are very warmly invited to take a look anyway. Even without words, photos and first impressions often speak straight to the heart — and maybe your future companion is already waiting there.
Feel free to browse and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if an animal touches your heart or if you have any questions.
The transport costs for cats and dogs vary depending on weight and airline. For cats, the price is upto €350, which covers the pure flight costs. For dogs, the average transport cost is €600. The respective amount is to be transferred to Conny’s Mensch & Tierhilfe gUG after the animal has been taken over. Of course, you will receive all related receipts and documentation.
We organize the transport and coordinate the exact arrival date together with you. You can then pick up your new furry companion directly at the airport. After a suitable adjustment period, we would like to conduct an (online video) follow-up visit to ensure that both you and your animal have settled in well. We’re always happy to receive photos of your new family member — with your permission, we would also love to share them on our channels.
As we do not generate any income through adoptions, we rely on donations to continue our work and are deeply grateful for any support.
