Our shelter is located on the east coast of Sri Lanka, near Trincomalee. We shelter dogs and cats that would not survive on their own on the street or are sick. We also feed and treat animals on the street and regularly neuter a large number of dogs and cats. Making owners aware of their animal’s needs, educating them, offering them free neutering is as much a part of our job as teaching children about animal welfare.
Urgent: We Are Looking for Support for Our Team
We are urgently looking for additional support for our team at the Lokku’s dogs&catscare animal shelter in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka! Has it always been your dream to work in animal welfare? To spend your life saving animals, caring for them, and making their world a better place? Are you adventurous and ready to go abroad? Then this could be the perfect job for you!
Responsibilities: Everything related to dogs! Walking dogs, bathing them, administering medication (as instructed), cleaning quarantine rooms, feeding, and possibly taking animals to the veterinary clinic.
Working hours: Part-time or full-time – flexible by agreement.
Requirements: A driving license to be able to ride a moped. A huge heart for dogs, ability to get dirty, and emotional stability.
Veterinary knowledge is preferred but not required!
