Support with (donation) acquisition

Funding animal welfare work is a serious issue. I jumped in at the deep end and started the shelter without already having donors or other sources of revenue to fund it. Because of the initial situation, I had to use private funds to build the shelter and am currently paying half of the ongoing costs from private as well. I had and have the confidence that the circle of donors will grow little by little and that ways and means of permanent financing will open up. Hereby support, in the truest sense of the word, is worth its weight in gold.

Do you know companies/businesses that are willing to donate leftover items for a charitable purpose? Selling, auctioning or raffling donations on Facebook is a valuable way for us to raise funds. Household liquidations or clearance sales are also good opportunities to receive donations.

Furthermore, it helps us a lot if you tell animal friends about us, pass on homepage and facebook links and thus increase our chance of supporters.
